Sheikha Hind Chairs CNA-Q Board Meeting

DOHA: H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson, College of the North Atlantic–Qatar (CNA-Q) Joint Oversight Board attended the 18th meeting of the board held on December 10.

As Chair of the Joint Oversight Board, Sheikha Hind is involved in decisions affecting the future curriculum and developments for CNA-Q. The Joint Oversight Board, who oversees the running of the College, was organised in 2001 and is comprised of members from Qatar and Canada. At this meeting the Board reviewed and approved the annual plan and annual budget for 2010-2011.

Other College Executives from Qatar and Canada in attendance were Dr Latifa Al Houty, Vice-Chair of Executive Committee; Jean Madill, President, College of the North Atlantic Canada; Enid Strickland, Interim President, CNA-Q; Adel El Sherbini, Legal Adviser to Diwan Amiri; Abdulla Al Sahlawi, Manager, Corporate Training, Qatar Petroleum; Terry Styles, Al Lewis and Andrea Marshall from Board of Governors, College of the North Atlantic (Canada); Gary Tulk, VP Academics CNA-Q (Acting), and from the Executive Committee Dr Mohd Fathy Saoud, President of Qatar Foundation.

It is always great privilege to welcome Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to our campus,” said Strickland. “We value the continued support we receive from the State of Qatar to provide education and training that enables Qatar’s economy to grow.

Doha Players Pantomime - Cinders: The True Story



The Doha Players bring you Cinderella with a twist. All your favourite characters; sweet Cinders and her faithful friend Buttons, her downtrodden father, the charming prince and his loyal servant Dandini, the ugly sisters and their mother and of course the Fairy Godmother who, well ….has a bit of a problem! An interesting and colourful slant on a favourite children’s tale.
